September 2014 Update

Hello High Country Snowmobilers,

I know it's the beginning of September and even though it seems as if summer might be making a return, it's time to start thinking about winter!

We are, getting ready to fire up the snowmobile club, prepare for our annual snowmobile season kickoff party, and making sure we are ready to groom our trails once the snow starts to fly. Here's a list of what we have going on.

September Events:

September 9th, Club meeting at Q4U in Frisco 6pm.

Trail work day, tentatively scheduled for September 20 or 21. We are making plans to trim up some of the trees along the trail system and install trail diamonds. We are getting an earlier start on it this year since we've been snowed out the past few seasons. Schedule will be finalized at the club meeting.

October Events:

October 11 and 12, Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Expo in Denver

October, 14th Club monthly meeting at Q4U in Frisco.

Other News:

We have 2 weekend overnight rides on this year's schedule. Get these on your calendar and reserve your rooms!

January's overnight ride will be to the Electric Mountain Lodge on the east side of the Grand Mesa, (outside of Paonia) on January 16, 17 and 18, 2015.

February's overnight ride will be to the Hahn's Peak lodge, (north of Steamboat). That weekend's ride will be held on February 20, 21 and 22nd 2015.
